This blog is about me and topics related to
the music in my life.
Steel Parade:
Currently, I perform with one of Southern California’s busiest steel drum bands, Steel Parade. Catch me playing Djembe and bass while singing harmonies to soca, rock reggae, and island party music.
See video of people having a good time by visiting www.fbook.me/steelparade or www.steelparade.wordpress.com.
If you have a corporate function, private party, professional concert or small quiet corner where you need music, Steel Parade is the perfect band to hire. People love dancing to Steel Parade’s music. Every gig has been a success for our clients. Before I move on just let me tell you that Steel Parade has literally “saved” weddings. When write “saved”, I am quoting clients.
GMG Recording Studio:
You can also find me working as a recording engineer on the road or with GMG Recording Studio in downtown Long Beach. We offer a variety of recording services, including mixing, tracking, mobile recording and beat making. We care about our clients and place emphasis on quality, efficiency, and mobility. Click GMG Recording Studio to visit our blog where you’ll find client news, services and prices.
More Bass:
I also play bass for corporate bands such as Long Beach Rhythm, and Jazz Pit Boyz. We backup vocalists and perofrm holiday tunes. These bands are also available for hire. Click here to find out how you can hire these bands.
I have also performed bass and vocals with Long Beach Community College groups such as Studio Singers Jazz Choir, Studio 8, and The Long Beach City College Big Band. Studio Singers performs Jazz and Pop favorites locally and on the road.
Music Background:
Some musical background: Back in my garage band days, I was a guitar player, singer, and songwriter in some local bands known as Rylin and another called Chlorine. Things change and now I play a lot of bass. I have studied with Tom Warrington and Lynn Davis. I have experience backing vocalists and performing Jazz, Calypso, Latin, Reggae, Hip Hop and Rock music styles.
I have also studied a little African Drumming with Fred Jones who currently teaches at Motherland Music Center. I have become better acquainted with the Djembe and I enjoy it very much.
