The LBCC City Jazz Big Band recorded back in December 2007.

I am in the rhythm section playing bass.  Look you can see me? Listen for Winter Wonderland

First Mel Marco sings with us.  Then I switch from playing bass to singing Smack Dab In The Middle with the Studio 8 choir.

“High Maintenance” is up next and its back to bass to end the show.

Thanks for posting these TasarlaSkaara.

The Holiday Concert was great!

January 9, 2008 · Leave a Comment

People enjoyed the Studio Singers performance of What’ll I Do?, Hallelujah I love Her So, Sway (Quien Sera), Smack Dab In The Middle, and Peter Gunn.

Studio 8 received a lot of nice complements for our performance of “Smack Dab In the Middle”. Studio 8 also performed at the City Jazz Big Band concert. It was fun for me to switch between bass and vocal performance. Look for some pictures of that soon.

I am trying to track down some Holiday Concert pictures, wish me luck.

In case you are wondering why I have not been around, or why I have been hard to get a hold of, it’s because I have been preparing for the Scholarship Concert on Sunday October 14th. It’s a great date activity.

You can find me in the Tenor section (on the right in the picture above.) There are four tenors this semester. We are out numbered by the other sections which forces us to sing a little louder sometimes.
We have been working on a Spanish and English version of “Sway” by Norman Gimbel and Pablo Beltran Ruiz, arranged by Kirby Shaw. Kirby Shaw has brought us cool arrangements in the past. There is some nice dissonance in the last chord (Dm69).

Click here if you want to see some pictures from the last tour. Caution, some pictures may get a little silly.
