Current Fender Jazz Bass Deluxe Tuning Machines and Balance

Hi, I just wanted to share these images to commemorate the current tuning machines configuration on my Fender Jazz Bass Deluxe.

I currently have three stock, and one replacement that adds a lot of sustain to my E string. It was the same way when I had all 4 replaced with the big metal ones. The entire instrument had lots of sustain.

The head stock was heavier now and it really threw off the balance of the Fender Jazz Bass Deluxe. So I had three tuning machines changed back to the stock and left the E string the same.

The Stock tuning machines do not feel as smooth as the heavier replacement.

I want to get the lightest I can find. I’ll probably go to World of Strings in Long Beach and ask them to change the three stock to a better/light machine. My goal is to have a balanced instrument that feels light in my hand while I play. Dexterity is important to me.
